Help needed!! e brake lights is on
Hi there guys well let me start by saying that im a noob to this and I drive a 1993 Honda del sol si and about 3 days ago my emergency brake light keeps turning on. Im not low on brake fluid either, I checked. But could it possibly be that my rear brake are still locked on? By the way my rear brake are disc brakes not drum and I haven't checked but my rear disc brakes theyve been also making squeaking noises, which would mean that it's out but I was just wondering if it would be possible that my rear brakes are still slightly lock. I know I should check it out first but, haven't gotten the spare time to look at it. But please any help would be appreciated.

Does the light go off if you hit the brake pedal pretty hard while driving? I live in northern Indiana and love to e-brake in the snow. Now when I accelerate, the light comes on, I hit the brakes and it goes back off. Doesn't give me problems in the summer though.

Check this:
Brake warning light indicates parking brake is engaged and/or brake fluid level is low. To adjust parking brake light operation, turn ignition on. Bend switch plate down until light comes on when parking brake lever is pulled one notch and goes out when lever is released.

well the brake light only comes on when i start my car and after driving it for like 15 mins. it'll go off but sometimes it doesnt come on at all until i step on the brake pretty hard and it'll come back on. Also my parking brake leverage isnt on either when im driving, it's pushed down all the way.

Have you checked the actual sensor under the e-brake handle? is that the light youre talking about? the one that comes on when you pull the ebrake? if thats the case then it sounds like your e-brake handle isn't going down all the way and pushing the sensor switch in all the way.
