Help with eg ls swap
Been on here researching for weeks now for my b18 swap. Love the amount of info available. I'm going to try to make this as descriptive as possible to hopefully get this issue fixed asap as this car us my daily and downtime is no good.
I have a 1992 eg hatch with a 98 b18b1, have all te swap complete with the necessary items described in numerous tutorials. Harness plugged in great and swap was quite easy. I went to start er up and all I got was crank no fuel or spark. I went under the dash and heard a relay clicking when ign. Was turned on. Checked all fuses and ground wires as directed. I have been researching troubleshooting the main relay and ecu. If there is any other info I could use please let me know I need to get this thing up asap. I'll list parts I'm using incase I fudged somewhere.
B18b1 obd2 engine and tranny
b18b1 harness obd2
went with obd1 p75 ecu
the rest is all integra swap parts
I'm currently at work so this will be getting worked on as soon as I get off all info is greatly appreciated. Can reply to this or email me at jej2386@gmail or hell even text me at 260-579-6406 names Jessse.

When you turn the ignition to slot II are you hearing the Fuel Pump prime? Does the CEL(Check Engine Light) go off after 2 seconds and stay off during cranking?
I know you said you checked all the grounds, just bringing this up because its sometimes overlooked but did you check the ground on your Thermostat housing really good? Make sure its tight and clean from grime/rust/etc?

When I turn ignition fuel pump does not prime. Spark test each cyl. And no go on any of them. The ecu/ thermostat ground has been cleaned up pretty good. Have not been able to check CEL due to being at work all day. That's the first thing I'm checkin. Also I'm installing a ground kit to make sure everything is locked down in that department. Along with new battery terminals. Will update as soon as I get home.

ok heres an update, went out and tried pulling the ecu codes and the CEL stayed permanently on. so im guessing an ecu is the main problem. correct me if im wrong. all grounds from ecu harness were good and ecu was getting power to it. main relay had good ground and was clicking as should be.

Re: Help with eg ls swap
you can't use a OBD1 ECU with an OBD2 motor unless you have a jumper harness, it just won't work...this is why you're having problems. Get an OBD1 P75 ECU, you'll be good.

Re: Help with eg ls swap
he probably has a jumper harness. Follow through his tutorial and check off the stuff you did and then see what's left, process of elimination. Is your ECU ****ed up? Try a difference ECU, that's where i always start.

You do not want or need an OBD2 ECU.
He did not use a jumper harness. The beauty of doing the swap this way is you use the Integra OBD2 engine harness which plugs perfectly into the OBD2 Integra engine and also plugs perfectly into the OBD1 Civic interior harness allowing you to use an OBD1 ECU. Its been done numerous times before, its proven to work, no jumper harnes is involved.
To the OP, borrow another ECU, even try the original D-series ECU and see if it starts. If its not that triple check your grounds and check to see if the ACG fuse is blown.

Re: Help with eg ls swap
Thank you for clarifying, I knew it was that simple. I found that one of the plugs connecting on the passenger side harness to the shock tower had been cut and spliced on the obd2 harness. Another harness is already on the way. not having the connector hooked had no signal to the dizzy and a few other sensors resulting in the ecu flippin out. Hopefully will be up and going in the next few days.
