Help on D16y7...
Hey guys, well my problem is I bought my '97 Hatch thinking it was running right (I thought it was just slow cause it was a civic... and I drove an MR2 preciously). K well, I recently drove 2 of my other friends' hatches.. both 96's an they are also stock but theirs is much faster. To explain it better... my car has a hard time going more than 60mph on hilly freeways . So, I changed my spark plugs, air filter (got an intake), fixed the timing, checked cap and rotor and still no improvement. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Re: Help on D16y7... (Shaun)
Oh yea, I did that too... well kinda... I borrowed my uncles compression tester (he dropped it somehow and it started at 60 instead of 0) Well anyways, I got 180 on 3 cylinders and 182 on 1 cyclinder (minus 60.. so 120 on all 3 and 122 on 1). It says on the haynes manual that normal is 180.. but mine is 120-122... weird part is that its pretty much the same on all four cylinders. I thought that if compression was going bad there would be no way all 4 would be decreasing at the same time. Am I right? Maybe the compression was right and they actually are all 180-122 and if so.. that ends that deal and I still don't know what could be causing the lack of power.
