HELP! car bogging/sputtering/hesitating *did search*
ok here we go i am going to try and make this as througho as possible...
'93 hatch
'95 d16z6
I/H/E
running 3gallons of 94octane cut with 1 gallon of 110octane
never had problem before...
* cleaned cat out 2100 miles ago *
ok first, sometimes, when i start 'er up when warm, i'll let off the clutch and then it'll just die,a simple ecu reset work but its getting annoying...Secondhen at partial throttle in any gear, at lower rpm and higher, like 2-4.5K, if I give it some gas, it goes and gives a little sputter and hesitates couple times until/unless I put the gas down (basically raise the rpm) the sputtering stops and the car accelerates briskly.
EgI: Pulling off in 1st, calmly... the engine purrs, engaging clutch, intially cars fine untill 3k start to sputter/hesitate, but if I give it more gas... the sputter stops.
EgII: If I were crusing along at say 80 and in 5th and give it a little gas, the engine will sputter some and hesitate almost like its lost go power.
confused and annoyed, i just need her running for this turbo install :-(

Check your fuel filter, timing, plug gap, rotor condition, etc. Basic tune-up ****. If it's not any of the above, I'm not sure what the hell your problem is

timing is fine never had a problem with it, plugs changed 4k ago, wires are OEM and bought back in dec., fuel filter looks very old, but dont get why it would be so harsh all of a sudden, i think it might be cap/rotor/coil, if so should i get MSD blaster coil or what
