HELP Car bogging in 4th gear and 5th HELP!!
ok here we go i am going to try and make this as througho as possible...
'93 hatch
'95 d16z6
Turbo setup running 8PSI
running 93 octane Shell v-power gas
never had problem before...
* NO CAT *
ok first, sometimes, when i start 'er up when warm, i'll let off the clutch and then it'll just die,a simple ecu reset work but its getting annoying...
Second then at partial throttle in 4th and 5th gear, at lower rpm and higher, like 3-4.5K, if I give it some gas, it goes and gives a little sputter and hesitates couple times until/unless I put the gas down (basically raise the rpm) the sputtering stops and the car accelerates briskly.
Example #1: If I were crusing along at say 60 and in 4th @ 3k and give it a little gas, the engine will sputter some and hesitate almost like its lost go power. then if i put it down it'll go then bog again...
only thing i can think of is, I am running the car with NO o2 sensor due to a lil wiring problem... Could it be a grounding issue? FIXED GROUND ISSUE STILL HAVING PROBLEMS
FIXES: plugs are 3k old, BRAND NEW FUEL FILTER 10miles on it, new wires, replaced cap, rotor looks fine...

mine does that too (the bogging) im thinking its the tranny so im gonna do a tranny flush when i get funds to and hope that does it. So that might be a long shot. Also how are you tuned?

150k stock injectors... figured out the reason for problem no.1 its the main relay fuse, could that be affecting the stock fuel pump when driving, like making it cut out? please help i just want this damn car to run

adjust ur timing, change ur plugs. My car did the same thing, my plugs looked fine, but i changed them for the hell of it and it went away. I always thought platinum plugs were bs, i usually used ngk's, but i put in some cheap platinums and it went away. But my best bet is the timing, advance it a little bit (not too much). probable/possible causes
-timing
-too rich
-plugs
plugs are easy and so is timing, so try them first.

Re: HELP Car bogging in 4th gear and 5th HELP!! (Steeze)
does it always do it at 3k-4k in every gear? or just 4th and 5th?
i know you said 4th and 5th, but usually you are on the gas less in normal driving in those gears, so i just wondered if you could get it to do it in 1 thru 3 at same rpm with the same throttle.

You need to get the O2 sensor working, and then get the car tuned. If you don't you'll have a lot bigger problem then bogging, and sputtering. Not try to be an ***, just stating the obvious.
