Default Head gasket (ouch) or other? I need to know

Sup everyone. Real quick EG civic B16A2 swap. Started rough the other day and emitted white smoke from the exhaust. Idle was rough until the oil started flowing. Was about 3/4 quart short and coolant has been getten eaten up. I'm assuming this is a head gasket but have heard it may be an oil pump. Any input would be appreciated.. HAppy TUning!

Yup if your coolant is dissapearing id check that headgasket bro. also check all the coolant lines just to be sure there is no leak. if there is no leak replace the gasket

When we did the swap I was working with an inpatient friend who rushed in to taking off the coolant hoses. He ended up smashing the flange on the heater core so that was leaking for a while. So I whacked the heat, no nead for it. I re-ran the hose to complete the coolant flow. So no leaks to my knowledge. And it went pretty quick. I had this gut feeling that a headgasket was needed in the near future (there was evidence of coolant right on the head gasket where it sticks out on the tranny side...) Damn, what else should I replace/refurbish while I'm in there?

It did get a little high on the temp side the other day on my way in to work. This was one of those things where you wake up and your car is fucked... Really sucks..

I was gonna do a compression test tonight to make sure it isn't blow by... But I don't think this would cause the amount of smoke I'm seeing. Plus I think it must be the head gasket since I was low on oil AND coolant... This has never happened before. Coolant ocassionally would need a top off but I was assuming this was cause by the leaky heater core which is now disconnected...
