Default Engine advance...were to go from here.

Hey Guys,
I need some advice for my car i blew the engine out still possible to fix it but i don't want to the cost benfit ratio diidnt work out on this one. I nee da new engine now i could get the same engine 1.6 SOHC VTEC for an ok price, or i want to put a new engien in possible a h22a or a b16a or somthing better then then what was in it before but i don't know what to do most mechanics i have called wont do the damn swap! they say oh thats too much work ETC those ******** anyone in colorado want to help me do the swap. and is it possible to swap the engine in my garage what would i neeed to do so?

are you mechanically incline? if not do some research on swapping motors, and when you're ready, instead of paying someone for the install, use the money to buy all the tools you need.

agreed, this is the biggest question you should ask yourself. imo, learn everything you need to know about swapping. take a look underneath the hood, and figure out what needs to be detached and so forth.

"too much work ETC those ********". Try doing the H22 swap yourself, and you won't say that after your done trying. The most practical swap is the B16a, and if your asking if you could do it in your garage I suggest you not do it. Doing it, and thinking about it is two different things - doing it in a garage or doing it in a field, its all the same.....just watch the weather report
