i know you guys are goin to think im dunb and thats fine i dont care but heres my question. i just put in a b18c gsr motor in my 92 si hatch. the knock sensor was broken and i am running a actual gsr harness. my question is if i replace the knock sensor with a new one and plug it in will i still get a check engine light coming on or do i need to do some additional wiring and is it difficult.

ok man...i did the same thing. you dont need the knock sensor...all it really does is detune the care some. save the monry cause i know its expensive. when you get ur ecu tuned just tell them you want the knock sensore part removed and it wont trip the check engine light. if you dont it will still run fine but ur light will be on. also you wont need the evap canister...same deal as the knock sensor.

sounds good bro thanx for the advice. i thought by the check enigne light coming i was slowly messing up my engine in some sort of way because of the fact that the knock sensor retarded my timing
