Good deal?
I found this ad for a D16Z6 for $350. Deal or no deal?
HONDA 1992-1995 D16z6 SOHC VTEC
Up for sale is a used Honda engine, automatic transmission, & ECU. It came out of a 1995 civic ex with 165,000 miles on it. We swaped a B16a1 into the civic.
The Goods: One owner, not driven aggressively, includes various nuts, bolts and brackets. Orginal P28 computer.
The Bad: VTEC solenoid leaks (but easy fix), MAP senor & TPS were put on the B16 so they are not included.

Re: Good deal? (iceman7329)
i honestly have never bought an engine or anything .. but i was thinking of turboing my d16 but buying another one in order to build it up ..
i feel like $350 is too much .. i'm not too serious now .. but ive been looking at the going rates for d16's and i really dont want to spend more than $200 at the most . I hear that ppl buy them for $50. Maybe im just a stupid n00b .. but imo i would not pay $350 for a motor like that .. i feel liike it should be less expensive

Re: (muhaMan)
its a good deal the ecu if converted to manual is worth 100 the head is worth 100 and the block is worth a good maybe 200 -150
so you are getting what you are paying for, pull the pan and check out the bottom end if you dont know how to rebuild a motor
