About to buy an engine...
Hi I am about to buy this engine from hmotorsonline...and I am going to swap it in myself, But i've never done a swap before...
So i was wondering...
Is this a good deal? http://www.hmotorsonline.com/s...30021
And is it the entire engine?
And what tools will i need to swap it in?
1994 Civic Ex 2 door 5 speed

For that price, Id just look for a local d16z6 (if youre replacing it because yours is bad, anyway). You can get a z6 longblock for probably 300 or less.
As far as special tools go, you'll need an engine hoist/lift, and a timing gun (unless your going to pay to have the timing redone)

Re: About to buy an engine... (rleonekc)
i had the d15b (1.5L vtec jdm) for a little bit. i did like it alot better over stock (d16z6 1.6L vtec usdm). i now have the d16a (1.6 vtec jdm). i would say go with one of the 1.6L vtec just for more support. it might be different now but i know about a year and a half ago i had problems with finding parts for my d15b.

you actually believe it has 30k miles????
Youre going to pay maybe $700 shipped for that thing, you know. 110% not worth it. Try to find something closer to home. Even if you have to rebuild it a little (new bearings) it would be much worth your while.
