Fuel pressure does not adjust
Hello.
My car was driving fine for a good while and suddenly after I got it back from the body shop last mouth it's been running really weird.
One of my problems is that the fuel pressure doesn't hold.
I would set it and then it would drop as I am driving.
So I changed out the stock regulator and now it's just holding at 45, I changed it back to the old regulator and still it is at 45.
I have a B&M FPR.
I have used 3 different gauges.
I have used 2 different stock regulators
I think it maybe my regulator; but I really don't see how it can be faulty.
Anyone have any problem with the B&M fpr?
Im sure its not the pump, the car starts and runs well.
Possibly the fuel filter (the gauge is on the filter)?
Anyone have any ideas what is wrong?
Thanks.

Re: Fuel pressure does not adjust (b16ahybrid)
I was driving home one day on the highway and the car started to sputter/choke.
I go on the side of the road and pop my hood to see only 25psi reading on my gauge. I had to unhook the vacume line on the fpr for it to slightly go up to around 30 and drove it home.
Later that day same thing, less extreme.
And yes the locking nut was tight.

Pull your plugs, see how they look.
Generally bogging is related to being to rich, and loss of power (not jerky) is due to being to lean. If anything you would be runing lean not rich. The ecu should compensate enough for the low fuel pressure.
No detonation?
If you have used two different stock regulators, the it could be the gauge, (notorious be being in-accurate)...
Start with the plugs they will give you a good indication.
