Ok, as I've said before, my fuel pressure is stuck at 44 psi untill i can drill a relief hole in the fpr.
The car idles fine, but after I drive a bit, then stop....it idles really high. Like as high as 3500rpm. When I shut the car off then start it up again it idles fine.
Could the higher than normal fuel pressure be causing this?

you would think with more fuel pressure = more fuel it would bog down if anything. do you have a fuel pressure gauge? if not then hook one up to your fuel filter and have a buddy hold it while you drive and check out the pressure.

I had a fuel pressure gauge under the hook, but I had to take it out because it was leaking....i need to pick up a new washer.
This problem is really weird. It idles fine, but then it seems to get "stuck". If I shut the car off and then turn it on again it idles fine.

See if your throttle cable might be sticking a little bit. Mine is and that sounds exactly like how my car acts.
