everything is exactly the same between the h and the f. you can use the f tranny with the h motor if you wanted to. ive done the swap on a 94 civic lx (4dr) and it was amazingly quick. with just the f motor, i\e, and slicks i went like 14.45@93 mph, and that was running the stock computer in the civic. your best bet is to also buy the axle assembly for the h into the 92-95 civic. i pieced together my axles and it was a pain in the ****. this is a fun swap, youll like it, especialy if your gonna go h in the future. good luck

Yea its just like a h-series swap. My question to you is...why? Its not really that great of a motor. You much better off with a b-series swap - b16a swaps are pretty cheap these days. The f-series doesnt like to rev, the tranny is crap, doesnt make alot of power, heavy, and you need an install kit to mount the motor anyways. It just doesnt make since in a civic.

yeah it didnt make sense to me either at first but iam on a tight budget and i only paid a 100$ for the hole car and the mounts for it are around 500. so sound alright for know untill i can get the big boy h22. the first gen b16 is what 800-1000$?

You may not think so but there are plenty of other that would disagree.

Your right, F series don't like the revs because it builds torque low in the rev range. I agree that the F trannies aren't the best but you can always use a H tranny with the f motor. It doesn't make a lot of power but it makes up for that in torque. The F22 motor weighs less than a H22 and I was told it has been proven that the H22 is only 35lbs heavier than a B series. Yes you need a mount kit, but don't most people end up upgrading their mounts, in some way, anyways?

Not trying to start any arguements, that just my $.02
