Re: A/F gauge install question... (ek-guru)
i want to have an idea of how my motor is running, because i don't want to lean it out when in spray..
and its mounted in a place where you wouldn't even be able to see it unless you peak into my window like you're going to steal my car or something...
peace out!..

i dont think their crap. your not supposed to use that as a stand alone tool for adjusting, but when combined with other gauges its very useful. i know alot of people who use a a/f gauge, egt, and oil pressure. and are making 3-5 hundred horse reliably. but that just my 2 cents

What he's trying to tell you is that they are not very accurate for use on any engine thats not stock.
Once your air/fuel ratio gets away from 14.7:1 it gets less accurate. So for your application your going to want to run a richer afr and it's not going to tell you much.
mine tells me i'm running lean most of the time when I know my afr is at 12.0:1 or close to. Tuning purposes they are worthless. If you like looking at the light going back and forth then it's worth the money, just don't invest to much trust into it being accurate
