Exhaust Manifold Gasket Q - Help
Hello, I'am installing 4-1 dc header on my JDM SirII B16 in my 2000 Honda Civic Si, I am going to change the gasket (Ex. Manifold Gasket? I think thats what its called) and the bolts. My question is, do I have to apply anything on the gasket or bolts? What setting should I torque the bolts @? Thanks

I never put anything on the gasket to prep it....i know i might catch heat for this but i just finger tightened them and then put a alittle pressure on the nuts with a ratchet

you should apply anit-seize on teh bolts. you dont need to put any sort of dressing on the gasket, just make sure both surfaces are clean. i dont kno on the top of my head what the torque on the nuts are, but dont torque them down too tight. i hear of ppl breaking them all too often

Why change it???
It's metal and if it's not bad, just re use it. And why new bolts??? Just torque to specs and you're fine

Re: Exhaust Manifold Gasket Q - Help (Emerika)
Im just changing it for the hell of it. Last time I changed my header .. I broke off some bolts, so I had to buy new ones. I just want to change everything I guess. Does anyone know stock specs for the bolts?
O.. another Q...where can I get this anti-seize stuff?
