so today im in my dads car driving to go pick up one of my friends and i see this eg [retty riced out fart can, 10inch high spoiler,alteezas, ETC and he starts to try and race this GSR when they start to race the civics muffler starts shitting out like little spark ***** or little ***** of flame can someone tell me what that is and whats the cause of it and is it even good for your car thanks

i have seen cars tuned with an autronics system that has an anti lag system. it retards the ignition way back so that most of the fuel burns inside the manifold and therefore spools the turbo like crazy. fire is a common result. it sounds like a rev limmiter sort of.

these systems are ubber expensive and can take like 25 hours to tune. most who can afford this dont put it in a rice mobile.

I've seen race cars in particular BMW ones that shoot fire. What I think it is is this: the race cars take out all exhaust components and so it's just a straight pipe pretty much. When the revs rapdily drop it creates a buildup of exhaust gasses that eventually combust, creating the fireball. Correct me if I'm wrong.

my guess is he probably had the dragonfire. some of my friends have this system to imitate 2f2f..lol. well the dragonfire system basically comes with a coil, spark plug, bung, and some other components. you wire it up to your dizzy and you put the bung right before the piping goes into the muffler and that is where u p ut the spark plug. how the flame works is at the touch of a button it cuts off the spark at the dizzy thus transferring the fresh gas thru the exhaust and to where the spark plug is at the end of the muffler and shoots a flame out the exhaust.

i don't know if i explained myself very well, but that guy shooting flames by running rich, misfiring, no cat, etc. just doesn't seem believeable based on the description of his car.
