Engine into a 99 Civic
I was thinking of saving money to swap for a new engine and also change my tranny from AT to MT. Right now, I have a 99 Civic EX and was looking into saving up for an engine. Can you guys recommend anything? I was thinking below $2500, if it's possible. I don't have a good job right now and even saving up for that would take me a long time. Also, how much do installations usually go for? Sorry, I know NOTHING about this subject matter
If you guys could give me your opinions, that would be great!
Thanks!

B18B, I saw one in the HT Classifieds yesterday for a '99 LS complete swap for $1500. Pretty damn good if you ask me. If you're in California, the engine being a '99, it would keep your car legal.

Re: Engine into a 99 Civic (NOSpeed97)
first off..
since you dont know anything, used the search button...
second...
ill be nice and recommand a b16a2 swap, itll cost you about 2300-2500...
third..
installation price depends on the shop you go to, they usaually go for 500-1000 depending...
IMO, do the swap yourself and save the money for some aftermarket parts...
its not that hard, just use that search button more often instead of making posts about something that has been discussed millions of time...
