EK - OBD1 B-series swap experts needed!
description:
96 ex civic
OBD0 B16A head (GSR cams, titanium springs & retainers)
OBD0 B16A intake manifold w/ blocked off FIV
OBD2 B18C5 throttle body (port matched)
OBD1 B16A (built) block
Ok, a few questions for the gurus..
first off, which throttle cable do I use? stock d16y8? 92 GSR?
I was told to use 94-01 Integra or 99-00 Si A/C bracket, I thought Del Sol VTEC was required.. which is it?
on the FAQ it says "use the left side (driver side) dual-post engine block mount (only needed if going B18C)", So I don't need one for the B16A? use stock?
lastly, since the block was updated to OBD1, the nipple for my IACV to run back into the coolant system is gone, so I have a hose from the water pipe into the IACV, then i'm running it back to the old FIV nipple shown in this pic.. will this work ok?

Use the factory cable, you will have to modify the bracket to hold the cable though.
If you had a D series in there with a D series compressor, use the Del Sol VTEC mount, or one from a B20 CRV, this is what I did since I did not have an Si pump, nor did I want to drain my A/C.
The mount that came with the engine should be fine, the GSR had a mount similar to the transmission mount on the timing belt side, as did the 92-95 civics, in 96-00 they used a oil filled mount. If the bracket on the motor has one bolt hole, it will fit.
This should explain the coolant portion of it:
