b16a block in a del sol
I just bought a B16A bottom end for 300. I thnk its a OBD0 because the serial number starts with a 1 instead of a 5. If im wrong correct me. Ive looked throught the archives and couldnt really get a straight answer, my question is this. Are the blocks the same will this work with OBD1 stuff? Is there any missing holes for sensors or anything, Im going to be using a build gsr head that has been shaved, Im also going to be rebuilding this block with some sort of "nice stuff" any info and tips for me, thanks guys

The only thing I may have encountered with an obd0 block into an obd1 setup is the driver side motor mount bracket looks a little off. At least it does in my eg hatch. I bought another one off a teg to check.
Otherwise you can sell the knock sensor depending on ecu because you won't need it.
Everything else is the same. the clutches from cable are different from hydro.
My experiences so far.

Not true. All DOHC VTEC ECUs require a knock sensor regardless of OBD version. The only way he won't need the knock sensor is if he chips an ECU that doesn't use one, such as the P28.
