ECU Questions Gentlemen
My check engine light is on i'm pretty sure it is because of an exhaust leak at the cat-header joint, but to make sure i need to find out how to read an ecu code. Does anybody here know how to check that. I have a 00Civic EX i don't know if that makes any difference. Any help is appreciated.

Re: ECU Questions Gentlemen (White SOHC)
Ok, first you take the plastic cover off that is covering the ECU near where the passangers feet would be.
2nd, you are going to have to find this green rubbery thing. It should have some wires that go into it. There will be a connector inside that has 2 wires running to it. Remove the connector from its cover.
Now, with a paperclip, stick the two ends into the connector...one for each hole. Make sure it is touching the metal contacts.
Then switch the car on to the ignition point. Your check engine light will flash a code you can check in a manual.
