find the little diagnostic plug above the ecu in the passenger footwell and jump a wire between the two terminals, this causes the ecu to flash the code. single long flash indicates the first digit, then there should be a pause and the shorter flashs are the second digit. like this:
_ _ --- (two long duration flashs and pause and three short quick flashs indicate code 23
