ecu question
I have a P09 ecu on a d15b8 and have come across a d16z6 head and want to put it on my block. Now here is my question: I will be running a JDM vtec solenoid which means that there is no place for the oil pressure sending unit. THUS I do not want to run a P28. I was wondering if I could run my P09 with a VAFC and control vtec this way? There should be no Code 22, right? Thanks a lot.

Re: ecu question (EF9_SiR)
more along the lines of the P05 or P06 ECU. either way it can be converter and chipped to run like a stock P28. or yes you can run it with a VAFC for vtec activation and fuel map corrections. but its still be weak due to ignition maps and rev limit. code 22 or 21 only would occur with VTEC ecu which is looking for the sensor not from VAFC unit
