Does anyone know if a D16Y8 oil pan will work on a D16Z6?

Default Does anyone know if a D16Y8 oil pan will work on a D16Z6?

Just wondering if anyone knew if they were interchangable. I read on the 92-00 civic interchangable thread but it didn't list anything for the oil pan.

y7 and y8 blocks are the same block... differnt head and intake manfiold and exhaust manifold... same valvecover too...

y7 and y8 oil pans are differnet. when i blew my motor [y8] i bought a y7 shortblock and put my y8 head on it. but i had to use the y7 oil pan b/c the y8 wouldnt fit.

but see if you read the topic we are discussing wether or not the vtec d16y8 pan will fit the d16z6. ive heard so many mixed answers...

I can confirm the z6 and the y8 oil pans are totally different. I'll see if I can get pics today at the shop.
