I don't think so. The z6 and y8 intake manifolds are aluminum as the y7 pan is steel.

I thought that all d series were interchangable. But I did a search and aparently Y8s are not the same a Z6....I know you want y7 but I'm not sure.

they should be interchangeable... but the internals are probably different.

FYI, the y7 oil pan is baffled while the y8 is not.

hmmmm . . . iw onder what made Honda engineers give the lowest performance engine a baffled oil pan. i guess they thought the people driving a cx/dx would be doing some serious road racing!

sorry to hi-jack your thread but i was just about post an oil pan question also....will an oil pan from a 92-95 ex fit a 97 ex????????????

damnit if nobody knows then i will just try it out myself and waste a couple of hours i just want a pan to have a fitting welded into so i have less install time on my turdbine

dont think so. i could be wrong but i ordered a oil pan off a early 90's d series and it didnt fit the 98 d series.

The eg and ek oilpans are interchangeable between vtec models or non vtec models. eg si's and ex's are interchangeable with the y8. dx's are interchangeable from either eg's or ek's... Among D series oilpans that is. I thought that the y8 oilpan was aluminum and baffled but I could be wrong.
