Did a Compression test on the B16*Woot Wott*
COmming up is a Race/car show event called CMI and ive been thinking of running a zex kit just to have fun at the track, so first thing i did was went out and bought a Compression tester ($24.99). Then got home and got to work. Overall i think the results came out alright.
Spec:1998 Jdm b16a Motor
Reading(from left to right cylinders)
Cylinder #1-230psi
Cylinder #2-210psi
Cylinder #3-210psi
Cylinder #4-220psi
Reason I did the test was #1. Cause i drive the car alot and floor it every now and then #2. To check if its safe to go and run the 50shot Zex kit. and #3. Cause its good to know how well your motor is running and if theres any possible problems that i should be aware of.
A problem that had me freaking out was the compression tester came with 2 adapters and i had to use the second one to screw on the cylinder head. WEll after testing cylinder #1 i go and unscrew the hose and the frekin adapter is still screwed on the head After trying to take it out i had no luck so i grab a Mocha Frapuccino and grab a tad bit of thread lock and rescrew the hose on the adapter, then finished the MOcha Frap. and gave it a try, BAMM it comes out Overall it was a fun test and recommend it to everyone out there
