so i have a D16z6 in my 94 cx hatch. I was driving around i would say 10 miles and i stopped at a gas station.I go to turn on my car and it turns on but shuts off..it basically bogged and dies. This has happened before but its been a good 4 months since it last happened..at first i thought its my plugs. Then i think its my spark plug wire cause one of the boot is ripped. so back to my story..i tried 5 times to turn it on..i waited about 5 minutes and it turned on.. so my question is what might be this problem? it only happens once in a while.. thanks in advance.

I'm gonna say Main Relay, my old honda had that same problem. I replaced the main relay and it stopped.

Try resoldering the connections in the main relay, that solved a similar problem I was having in my 94 ex 4dr.

It definitely sounds like the main relay.

yup, main relay, the contacts get hot and separate, u can either take it apart and resolder it as previously stated, or hit up autozone/pepboys for a cheap aftermarket one for like $60.. or actually a junkyard, theyre located under the dash usually a little higher or behind the fuse panel. good luckl.

ill just pick on up at the junkyard...it has to be an obd1 right??
