Need answer on starting problems
I posted one other question on me D16Z6 not starting when the interior gets hot and here is my delema.
The Main Relay controls the fuel pump right?. Well I bought one to replace my old one and the car still wont start when it is hot or warm.
I'm not sure if it is the relay or not because the car is flodding when it is hot?
Last night it started fine and drove it for 2 minutes and turned it off. Then it would not start. I smelt gas as if it was flooded. It was around 82 @ 9:00pm
I pulled the relay out and cooled it off. While the relay was out I turned the car over to blow out the gas in the engine. Put it back in and it fired right up!!
I need to know if any one is having this problem. And what is causing this. It is really pissing me off and I'm sick of getting stranded
Would the injectors be leaking? Thanks

It sounds to me it's ignition problems related to heat soak.
Since you cooled down the relay yourself outside the car, they relay may have developed a defect from heat. If it still continues, it could be the coil or something related.

does the fuel pump run for a few seconds if you turn the ignition on but not start the car? if your answer=yes, then no problems with the relay. if you answer=no, then socket is bad (since it is a new relay).

I'm thinking ignition too. If it's getting fuel and flooding, my guess would be that its not making a spark to burn and ignite the fuel. So What would be the goilng price on a USED Dizzy? Thanks
