Default D15B Swap

Alright I think I decided on an engine for my everday car, the JDM D15B vtec. I just need to know what all goes into the swap. The car currently doesn't have a wiring harness, so will a standard EX wiring harness hook up to it? And can I use a P28 ECU or do I need a P06?

I also need to know what trannys are compatible with the D15B, should be any other D series tranny correct?

i am using a p28 on my d15b and its been fine for me. Try to source a si tranny for your car, best dseries tranny for the price, theres also a d15b lsd tranny, but they are pretty rare and pricy

im no good at wiring so ill let someone else comment on that.

from what i heard, if u live in america, its gonna be hard for u to buy replacement parts for it because some of the parts needed are not compatable with other d series parts. not in shops or honda dealerships, u have to be lucky to find some online or order from japan.

Well if your are using a wiring harness of from a ex that already had vtec in it, you should be fine. As for the p28 it should work fine. But for more optimum performance try getting it chipped with p08 maps. which is the OEM ecu for that engine. Or buy yourself a p08. But those are hard to come by.

That engine is basically a MINI ME SWAP done by honda. Iy has a z6 head with a vx block. So when ordering parts for the head you would ask as if it was a z6. And for the block a vx...and so on.
