Wiring engine swap
I blew my d16y8 (vtec) a few weeks ago, and i got a d16y7 (non vtec)
The new engine came with a wiring harness, but some of the plug-in's are missing (like the one that connects to the distributor cap LOL) Anyway, i still have my old wiring harness hooked up to the ECU for the vtec, i was wondering if it is possible to use the old wiring harness to hook up the engine and tranny, and just leave off the hookup that went to the vtec solinoid? Would it run too rich? would it run at all until i could find the right ecu ...i got one for a dx, but it was the wrong ecu.
