Cost to do a 5spd conversion
look into my point of view on handling this project:
summer '10: auto to 5 speed conversion
where to get my parts: craigslist!/junk yards!
labor: $200.00 + couple 12 packs of coors light
how much you think i'll just be spending on parts alone? b/c labor wouldn't be a problem.
i've read many threads.. and one person said $200 and some other guy said $800.. so let me know on an average price, since i could possibly haggle the junk yard dealers

Re: Cost to do a 5spd conversion
from my experience...
i got the clutch cylinder, pedals, shift boot from the junkyard for 20$
i have to buy a ex 5spd trans for 60+60$ for shipping so 140
i have to buy a starter, shift link, shifter, and shift link for 60+ 40 so 240$
i have to buy an aftermarket clutch and flywheel +250~
and since i have an EG, i need the auto to manual mount for 120$
so i had to spend around 500$ for my whole swap (i didnt want a junkyard clutch and flywheel)
