Default coilover install problem

alright so i finished up putting in new shocks and a coilover kit in my bro's civic. when i lowered the back i came across a slight problem. the bushing and washer that are attached to the top of the shock stick up off the metal about an inch. the other two bolts that secure the shock/spring to the frame are tight so i know that it won't come out, but i just wanted to know why its doing this? i would'nt mind it but it makes this awful squeaking sound whenever you hit a bump.

you forgot the spacers, little washer looking things that are thick and swell up in the middle, if you got aftermarket shocks it should have a picture/diagram of where they belong on the shock

i do remember seeing those come off of the stock shocks but in the diagram i had it did not show those. do you think those spacers alone would make the bushing sit up an inch? its worth a try to go and take it all apart. thanks for your help.
