Default shock problem

i got gc coilovers and agx shocks last week. i installed the fronts with little drama, but the rears are another story. this is a 93 cx btw. i've been working on/swearing at the bottom bolts on the shocks for a week (one side i sheared the bolt head flush with the shock). The bolts aren't coming out by any human means. So finally i'm ready to give up, and i see two options.

1. cut the shocks off, which to me looks like i'll probably need new bushings if i go this route (they're looking pretty crappy anyway)

2. take it in to a shop and let them deal with it

I'd much rather do it myself, problem being i'll need a good saw to take them off, and i don't know what it takes to replace the bushing. Doesn't mention anything about that one in helms.

So does anybody have suggestions on what to look for in a rotary saw to get in that tight area(something cheap but quality)?

And more importantly, do i need a press to remove/install that bushing or can i do it without removing the lower arm? I'm dying to get this done. TIA

Default Re: shock problem (Jay D Em)

anti-sieze is the best!

I had to cut off the bolts on the lca-to the rear trailing arm....sucked...I took off aprox 1/8 in from the metal cylinder inside the bushing, and used washers on the reinstall...this should be fine for you.
it was a bastard though!
