Default Code Questions

I have a B16 in a civ. Basicaly i had my ECU rechipped and now i am hrowing Code 21. Is that because the chip didnt burn right or what? Its a CX ECU that someone half-assed the furst chip cuz i had no rev limiter and no VTEC then as well. Doesn anyone know anything about this?

You are throwing a code for the VTEC solenoid, the reason why you are not getting VTEC (if your CX ECU was converted to use VTEC in the first place). First off, I wouldn't use a half-assed ECU. I would get a P28 and chip it to run a P30 program, or get a P30 ECU. Make sure your VTEC solenoid wired correctly or if it is still working.

Its not a half assed ECU anymore, the chip the guy ran on it i got it from doesnt know his *** from peanut butter when it comes to Crome. But ill take that advice on the p28 and get that done.
But still to answer my question, why is the CEL on now?

HOw do i check if its still working? Is there some sort of continuity check or something i can do to know this? I know vtec is wired also to take that out of the question.
