clutch won't fully engage, help!
i just finished swapping a jdm b18c1 into an eg cx. i put in a new exedy oem style clutch before installing the engine into my car. when i tried to drive it, the clutch engages quickly and gets the car rolling, but then when i push the gas harder it just revs. the pedal has pressure from about half way pushed in to all the way engaged, but above half way up it feels really weak. the gears shift fine when pushed all the way in. i'm pretty sure the clutch just isnt being released enough to grap. is there an adjustment for that? any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

i would try bleeding the clutch fulid first, then adjust the clutch pedal... i dont know how to adjust the pedal, but there are detailed instructions in the helms manual

Did you have the flywheel machined first? If you did, bleed the system like dantastic said.

i didn't have the flywheel machined because i didn't think it looked that worn. maybe i'm wrong. i also already tried bleeding the clutch fluid and it didn't do anything. any other suggestions?

You should always have the flywheel machined when installing a new clutch. That way it has a fresh surface to bed itself to. IMO that would be your problem, I would have that machined before you burn out your new clutch.

damn i didnt resurface my flywheel when i installed my clutch and new tranny. the flywheel seems perfectly fine to me thats why i didnt do it or had time to go resurface it.
to adjust the clutch pedal if u need to, loosen the adjusting bolt then loosening the rod bolt. move the rod to where u want it and tigthen back up.

i'm not sure adjusting the clutch pedal is going to help because the clutch fork is all the way out, so it should be grabbing. but its not. has this happened to anyone else? i need help bad.

Yeah even if you buy a new flywheel you should have it re-surfaced. I know this kid who blew a stage 3 in like 6 weeks because he didn't have his aasco flywheel machined. Now keep in mind all components were 100% brand new. Clutch pedal free play can effect the grab of the clutch but it shouldn't keep it from fully engaging, unless you mess with the free play and set it out of spec.

i'm almost positive i figured it out. the axles weren't in all the way . but in my defense, i wasn't the one who put them in, cause i was workin on something else. i havn't driven it yet, but i think its fixed.
