Cluster bad or VSS bad?
My bosses 93 civic ex has a speedo issue. One cold starts the cluster moves fine but after about 30 mins to an hour of driving the cluster goes nuts. It moves erradically and doesnt go up smoothly. How do I know if the speed sensor is bad or the cluster is bad? I thought it was a cable driven speedo like my DA but its electronic. Anyone have any ideas before he has to go buy a cluster or VSS?

definately check the grounds first.
mine did pretty much the same thing. at random times the cluster would go nuts for a few seconds and then stop. i found a loose ground wire the next day, and it hasn't done it since.
but the vss could be going bad also ... they tend to do that.
