sounds like u need to replace the cluster, my cluster went out and i checked the vss, and it was all good and reading out perfectly on a friends spare cluster, i then bought his cluster and installed it in my car and havent had a problem since

but i put in my old cluster and it still didnt work! heres how it all happened,! my car was overheating, so just to check if it really was over heating i installed the old cluster that came with my civic and all of a sudden nothing works anymore!
