Default Clunk clunk clunk!

My 98 civic sedan makes a clunking noise if you jerk the wheel to the right. You can spin it to the left a little, then spin to the right and it'll make a clunking noise. I thought it was axles but just replaced that and it's still there. Any ideas?

Why shocks? They are fine, not a moving part...car has 60K on chassis

If I turn the wheel to the right suddenly it'll make a sound, regardless of how far I have it turned. Like something pops when I turn the wheel to the right. Can't re-create it with car on jackstands, I need the wheels on the ground to make the noise.

And I can feel the pop with my feet on the pedals, so it's not just a sound

Check your bushings. My Blox LCAs made that sound a few months after installing them. Blox for the loss!

If the bolt isn't centered in the bushing, replace it and check if anything is loose.

Hmm OK I'll check those out, could it be my tie rod ends, balljoints, or the steering rack? I just don't want it to fail on me driving, gotta make a 600 mile road trip soon

Axles from Advance are fine. I have yet to have an issue with a part from Advance.

If wheels wobble horizontally (hands at 3 and 9) it's tie rod ends. Spend the money for Moog ones, they have a lifetime warranty. Moog is a division of Federal Mogul, who makes a lot of OEM parts for different car companies. They make Hastings rings, Moog suspension parts, Wagner brake parts...

My 2002 Civic is also making extactly the same clunk noise when turning and also can not be reproduced when jacked up.

So what is exactly the problem???

P.S. I'm not convinced it is the axles or the CV joints since I used to have a faulty CV joints in one of my other cars and the noise was totally different.
