civic si starting issues
first post. well anyway, i have a 92 civic si hatch and was wondering if anyone could help me identify a problem that i have been having. last year my car would on occasion seem to start and then quickly shut off. After trying to start the car a few times( with no success) i would be force not to drive anywhere. But usually after an hour or so, if i went to start the car again it would start. THe problem seems to be becoming more frequent. I had the distributor changed a few months ago, and the car didnt have any problems untill just recently. The car also seems more prone to do this when it is hot out. Has anyone else had similiar problems or know what may be wrong?
any help would be greatly appreciated

right now, when you start your car, does it shut off after you start it? or either it cranks but wont keep up? if yes, then its your main relay. to check your main relay, its under your kick panel. there's 3 screws holding the kick panel. take those off. the relay is located near your hood release. take it off with a 10mm wrench or rachet. pull the clip release and check the connectors and such. and while you're at it, try to tap it a little to give it a little wake up. then connect it back together. if it still has the same problem, you can either fix it yourself like some people here on HT do. or you can get a new one from honda. if you dont want to pay $60 from honda, then try PMing "SkoundrelUSA". in another post about the relay problem, he mentioned that he has lots of them and he's willing to sell them for $10. good deal.
