I keep having troubles with me 92 si hatch..

It seems like it only does it in hot weather.When i try to start it like as soon as i turn the key it starts up and idles roughly at like 500 rpms and dies...then i tried to sart it again and it started and i gave it gas till 3000 rpms and then it studdered down and wouldnt start period..then all it would do is turn over...

then you just gotta wait untill it feels like starting...this shyt has happened several times and its getting old...can someone please help me figure out what the problem is...ppl have told me to check the main relay but i dont know what that is or how to check it.. HELP PLEASE

eh, very easy take it to the dealer and tell them to change the main relay. Problem solved

What excatly is the main relay..? and how much is it gonna cost for them to fix it..how do i know this is what it is?
