Default Civic SI Hatch--can anyone figure this out?

I have a Civic SI hatch with a JR suerpcharger on it. For a bit, I had the stock distributor, cap and coil on it while running boost. But, with that set up it would ping under boost. So, I switched to the MSD 6BTM ignition set up with a blaster cap and coil. Funny thing is, now the car never starts. Actually, it will start intemittently. So, I did a spark test--no spark. Did a light test at the coil--seemingly no power to the coil. So, then we put a stock distrubutor on--it fired every time! It was awesome to hear it actually START! Anyway, put the old set up back in place. I called MSD and told them all of this and they say..."oh no, the ignition isn't bad." I think they are wrong and something is wrong with the actual 6BTM box and plan to send it back for another. What do you guys think??? HELP!! Oh, and by the way, I've replaced every electrical thing you could think of--ignitor and main relay included.

i think the wiring got twisted in the dizzy. when i was settin mine up [99ex], the ground disconnected and no power. you might have blown a fuse. 96+ has another under the dash. that was the one i blew, changed it, car started.

but the stock dizzy would not start the car if that fuse had blown

wiring in the original question might not be a good connection!

Yeah, that sounds like a good explanation. Too bad I don't have the wiring skills to take it off and put in back on MYSELF so I could be sure it was all straight. Having a car that has issues SUCKS.

I had the same problem with the JR BTC when I first got it. My car would start sometimes and sometimes it wouldnt. Sometimes it would start and just die. I got stranded so many times with it. one day when it didnt start for 2 days and I decided to swap ecus with my friends to see if it would do the trick, we found one of the soldered wires were loose. Put it back in place, and BLING BLING. Never had the problem again.

Long story made short............check the wiring.
