Default CIVIC CLUSTER PROBLEM

HI ALL,
I have 1999 Civic EX. Lately, when I start the car, while it is cold, the speedometer would stay at 20 MPH,
When I start accelarating, it would vibrate between 15 and 30 MPH, and once i travel above that speed, it would just sit steady at 20MHP

At times, it would start showing the correct speed, and then in a few minutes it would go to 20 again.

Is there a way to reset?
Thanks ALL!

No way to reset it. Seems to be a fairly common problem. Does it fix itself when it warms up? Mine used to. Swap out the cluster and that will probly fix your problem. My SIR cluster works well now.

Check your VSS. Is that working correctly. Is it ONLY that cluster, or is it other clusters also?

Once the car is driven for a while it gets fixed by itself. You recomend to change all cluster?
Do you know any site that would help me take it a part?
Thanks for your time

The RPM works fine, also all other gauges work fine, just the current speed and passed miles stop working

If you have a stock cluster that has not been removed before then it is not the problem. try a new vss(speed sensor) im am almost positive that it is causing the problem.it is located on your tranny.
I had the same problem. My rpm gage worked fine but my speedo didn't.

It's your VSS if your speedo, trip meter, and odometer stopped working.
