Check Engine Light Disables Vtec Right?

Default Check Engine Light Disables Vtec Right?

if your check engine lights comes on will your computer keep the vtec from kicking in? and does it matter what kind of check engine light it is? a

Yes it matters. If you are throwing a CEL for a fuel tank pressure sensor, then it won't affect VTEC. If you're throwing a code for VSS, then yes, it will affect it.

Doesn't matter if every CEL is throwing - as long as you have VTEC.

ok here is the deal i swapped a mini me onto my hatch but i could not find a manual p28 ecu so i have an automatic right now so the CEL is throwing a code for the auto tranny. could that code interfere with my vtec?

ok does anybody have a link on where i can see what goes where on the ecu like for example lets say.........to what pin do i wire the o2 sensor and stuff..........

weird because i have a cel and vtec still engages... i hate seeing that light all the time, need to get it fixed :/
