what to do with these codes?
my check engine light came on while i was driving. so the other day, i checked to see what the code was. it threw me code 21 (vtec seloniod) or something like that. what do i do about getting this fix? then...last night, i checked it again, and my engine throws me code 1 (o2 sensor) and code 21.
the check engine light only comes on whenever i take the car over 5 grand (vtec crossover), sometimes. i say this because most of the time, i don't even get a check engine light. if my car was to sit still and i revv it, the light would come on. but if i drive it, the light sometimes come on, not all the time. oh yeah, it comes on sometimes when i don't even hit vtec on my long drives to sacramento to fremont.
any ideas what this problem is?

Do you have a V-AFC.
I have a Integra GSR and mine did the same thing.
It turned out that my V-AFC's Vtec settings were set up for the type R
So I changed it back to the GSR's vtec points and now I havent had any problems.

yeah...i do have one. i have the fields vtec controller. when i use to run the stock gs-r ecu, every time i put the fuel delivery level @ 0%, i would run hella lean. now, i just add like 4% fuel at 2000 rpm thru 4000 rpm (2% @ 1000rpm) and i would add like 10%-15% @5000 rpm thru 8000 rpm. and it sucks because the fucken a/f gauge doesn't work. but now, i'm running a p28 ecu with a skunk2 chip. i haven't play around with the fuel settings or anything.
but i don't understand why the vtec controller would make my engine throw a code. unless i didn't hook up the vtec controller correctly. any thoughts why the vtec controller causes this to happen to the gs-r motor?
