how do you pull cel's on a obd2 car?

on my 98 civic you pull the codes by removing the passanger side kick panel and where the ecu is there should be a bright green holder thing up around the upper left corner. Pull the blue plug out of that green holder and short it by sticking a paperclip in it. Makes sure one end of it goes in one side of the blue connector and the other end in the other side touching the metal parts inside. Then turn your car to the on position right before the one that actually starts the car and your check engine light should show you the code. long blinks= 10 and short blinks =1 ....so one long blink and five short blinks would equal 15. Hope this helps man
