Now for my second question, the other day me and my friend went for a little joy ride or should i say spirited driving , anyways everytime i went into vtec he said my car would blow ALOT of black smoke, i still have a cat so its not that im thinking im runnin rich or my cat is bad? thanks in advance

Re: 2 questions in 1 (Rhythm Racer)
Agressive cam in a stock head will require doing valves, springs and retainers in order to get to most out of the cam. You'll also have to get a chipped ECU or other engine management that allowes you to raise the rev limit. You should check out exospeed.com for the cam and/or head package it sounds like they are producing some really good stuff. I have a Skunk2 stage1 cam and some other stuff...I like it...its good for the street.
I'm pretty sure the black smoke is normal.
Note: when I took my car to the dyno on the first run there was quite a bit more smoke on the first pull than on the final pull. I imagine it has something to do with the VTEC crossover and the tuning of the fuel curve.
