there should be a two port blue harness around the glove box, use a jumper wire or a paper clip and hook into both ports and turn the key to the accessories positionand watch for the blinking light

OK, I'm retarded. On my Integra there is a 2 pin connector that I short to retrieve the codes, it is located by the passenger kick panel. I cannot find this damn connector on my girlfriends 98 Accord. Is it in the same place? the only thing I found was the 16 pin connector that the OBD2 scan tool hooks into. I have the list of OBD2 codes, I just needs to make that damn light blink.

Thanks

Brian

You have to connect pins 8 and 13 on the data link connector under the drivers side dash. I tried to do an ASCII drawing of the diagram the 2 X's are the pins that you need to connect. After connecting these pins you need to turn the ignition to the on position without the engine running and watch the Check engine light and see how it flashes. Long Flashes are 10's places and short flashes are 1's places. I.E. 4 long flashes and 2 short flashes = the code 42. It will flash all engine codes that are in memory and then it will repeat them. Check them for accuracy and then come back on here and IM me on h-t or reply to this thread and I will look up the codes for you.

ah, ok, so there is no 2 pin connector that you short out. it is part of the datalink connector. cool, thanks. I have a list of OBD2 codes from an integra, they might be the same, I will post the codes I get anyway. Thanks

ok, I could swear I was getting 2 codes, one was 67 and the other was 76. However, I dont have a listing for 76 in my OBD 2 integra manual, maybe there is a 76 for an accord or maybe not. The listing for 67 shows up as the secondary o2 sensor or catalytic converter.

76 is cylinder 6 misfire
67 is catalist system efficiency below threshold

I hope it is a V6 otherwise 76 could not be a possible code.
