CEL Light Question...stumped
ok so my car throws a code like 5 min AFTER driving. But when i turn the car off and turn it back on, it goes away, then comes back 5 min later again. So i cant pull the codes on the ecu while im just parked.
so i put the two wires and i drive around, then finally its starts blinking. 4 long times and thats it...
my problem, there is no #40 cel code...unless i was informed incorrectly.
Maybe you guys know whats up.
Thanks

Re: CEL Light Question...stumped (prophecy7115)
i have a 93 del sol
well my brothers,
we are trying to pull the code again but no code is being thrown right now.
and another thing, when his car is a quarter tank or less, it bogs like crazy (like if you give it more than 10% throttle it slows down) until 4k, then it runs fine after. Any ideas?

I got the same problem I drive about 5 -20 and the light comes on but when i turn the car off theres no code. i tired to get the code just now but im getting 4 solid blinks I just got done putting on a head gasket my main concern is that my ignition timing might be off could that trigger a code 40?

Re: CEL Light Question...stumped (turbo_rcer)
I have this same problem, but haven't figure out the solution yet...I think it may be the timing of the car. I will keep everyone updated.
Anyone have a solution yet?
