Car still idel like **** after installed type r cam
it is a b16a engine and i just swap an intake cam from oem integra type r (brand new). put the timing belt back on, adjusted the valve lash , intake is 0.07 and exhaust is 0.08 and sealed everything, tighten every nuts and bolts. adjusted the tension of timing belt and fired up for the first time and it is still ticking and taping and cranking sound.
i dont think timing is off cause i marked the points with belt aligned with cam gears.
anyone knows why? thanks

Even with my valves unadjusted my car started and idled just fine with ITR cams
I had to wait a day to get my feeler gauges back from a friend, so i just started it up after cam install to see if it still had a stock idle.
It has to be something with your install. Are you sure that your crank pulley was at TDC as well as your cams?

Your lost-motion devices in the head are meant to handle B16 cams. If your valves are properly adjusted for the ITR cams and you still hear lots of ticking, you may want to look into putting in LMD's from an ITR.
