Help Me!!!!!!!!!!! Cam install gone bad
So I was installing my new 01 R cams in my gsr last night and now my car doesnt idle at all. First time, the car started out ok but spurted oil out of the cam gear side but that is because we forgot to install the little gaskets that go on the side between the cam gear and cam. Second install we installed everything right and when we went to turn it on it started fine then started idling wierd and then it would almost stall out and die. We thought it might need a valve adjustment but my friend checked it out and the valves were fine. We are guesing it might not of been at TDC the second time and that is the cause. Any other ideas or help??????
you probably have the timing belt off a tooth on one cam.
double check that the cams are both lined up and the #1 cyl is at TDC.

Yes. ill have to agree sounds like the belt is off a tooth or it wasnt @ TDC.
DONT drive it.
Thanks for the help. Yea it wasnt at TDC . Luckily we only turned it on and just turned it off after the horrible idle. God that was a long night. Anyway car is running fine now. THanks guy!
