Car dies every now and then...
Alright i'm having some problems with my car. It's a 92 cx hatch with 94 b18b.
I picked up the car about 2 months ago. Changed the spark plugs, distributer and cap, and fuel filter. Now when i got the car it never really died. But i can be sittin in neutral and all of a sudden i see the idel go below 700 and just stall. I try to start her up but no go. Try numerous times and nothing. So i wait a couple minutes and it starts right up, i have no clue to what it could be. Can you guys help me out?

check ur timing, and the injectors could be clogged and dirty. To tell you the truth, it could be other things aswell.

sounds just like mine
same b18b in eg, and last time when i was driving for like 15 to 20 minutes, then turn car off and tried to start again, it wouldn't start. So after a few minutes, it started.

U said you changed the cap amd rotor. Look at the tiny spring on the coil and make sure you didnt bend it. I did this to my Coupe and it ran / stalled, etc. Straightened it out and it runs normal again.

It could be a bad plug or loose plug (ie. Ecm, dist.). It could also be you igniter. Look inside your distributor, check the plugs and wires. My co-worker's civic was doing that and a honda mechanic told her that her Ecm was going bad. She replaced it and it's been working fine. I'm not sure about that, but what do I know?? I'm not a certified honda mechanic.

i had the same problem for awhile but check your alternator..and battery..i changed the battery and it works fine cuz the power isn't flowing correctly..the other problem could be the alternator..it might be bad and can't recharge itself....you will notice this if while you're stoping at a light..and then your idle drops and then rises again when you turn your headlights on for a second or so..you should be able to hear it try to recharge..if it's like that then it's the alternator..
